About Us

At Global Edge Project Consulting we offer a more thorough and questioning approach to project management, exploring issues beyond obvious problems and solutions.

By thoroughly examining our clients’ needs and project drivers from the outset of the project, we are able to consistently deliver quality outcomes for our clients on time and on budget.

Our end-to-end solutions include:

  • Preparing strategic project planning documentation including scopes, budgets, design briefs and resource plans
  • Using scenario planning and mapping tools to determine preferred project outcomes
  • Determining project input criteria and identifying benchmarks to test progress
  • Coordinating the development of input and output criteria and liaising with the executive management team as the business strategy develops and evolves
  • Identifying areas requiring resolution and resolving these issues through liaison with project consultants and team members
  • Tracking project progress against benchmarks and working directly with the executive management team to complete the package
  • Planning and management tools to benchmark and track the project’s performance.

Our people

Global Edge Project Managers are drawn from a broad scope of industries and experience including engineering, architecture, IT and the environmental businesses. The director of the company, Guy Watson, trained as an architect and worked in the building industry as an architect. He applies the same ‘pre-design’ strategic project planning skills directly to all projects through a specialised project management service.

We encourage an entrepreneurial attitude to our team’s own personal activities, which we believe translates into a sense of ownership for each individual project they work on. This is central to our approach of delivering quality projects for our clients.

Guy Watson, principal of Global Edge Project Consulting, ran the project management consultancy UI Projects for 10 years. Originally established as an architectural and project management consultancy, UI Projects expanded its architectural skill set into aquaculture, renewable energy and technological start-ups when Guy completed a Masters in International Relations and won a number of marine and environmental science projects.

Mark Scandurra is a project manager, trained as a structural engineer, with experience in the arts, public works and industrial sectors in project management.

Geoff Alexander is an entrepreneur experienced in establishing businesses in the environmental services sector. He established NECO as the industry leader in free compact fluorescent distribution schemes and has extensive experience in the operations of the NSW carbon trading scheme since its inception. Geoff’s involvement and contact with regulatory authorities offers a wealth of experience for advice on government decision making and developing government relation strategies.
