Managing projects for clients who are developing renewable energy alternatives is a passion for Global Edge Project Consulting and we are proud that in an immature market we have played a key role in assisting a number of ambitious projects get off the ground.
For example, we have been involved in the construction of Sydney’s first significant urban wind turbine. We have also been involved in the feasibility testing and modelling of several other urban wind farm projects in Sydney (under negotiation) as well as in the design of a 25MW wood-waste biomass project (under negotiation).
In addition, we have assisted several councils and land-owners to determine the renewable energy resource capacity of their local government areas or land holdings. We continue to explore project opportunities for a range of clients such as land-owners, councils, buyers and users, investors, and carbon traders.
The renewable energy resource opportunities that we are exploring for these clients include:
Wind power and wind farms
Bio-fuels and bio-mass
Concentrated solar thermal power
Waste resource usage (waste to energy)
Geothermal resources
Agricultural resources
Micro-hydro power
Naturaland coal gas resources.
Current projects
Huon Power
Wood waste gasification pilot scheme and 25MW full scale plant
City of Sydney
Resource assessment and installation of urban scale turbine
Randwick City Council
Wind resource assessment for local government area
Willoughby City Council
Wind resource assessment for local government area
Botany Bay City Council
Wind resource assessment for local government area
Aerogenesis
Urban scale – ‘wind farms’, Sydney
Prospecting for untapped natural gas resources in rural land holdings
Helping land owners and small business owners identify and quantify the power generative resource of their land or asset
